On a flight to Lahore, I was going to see my extended family I watched Teefa in trouble I love emirates so much always brilliant food, IFE screens and seats.

Good Seat for sleeping, as it was between two windows and will obstruct the sunlight. For better view seats go for 13k and above. Avoid seats from 16K till 20K as wings will obstruct the view.

I had a previous connecting flight from Houston to Dubai on the A380 and now I am flying the Boeing 777-300ER to Amman. To be honest, overall I think the A380 would be better in almost all aspects of both planes. I was seated pretty close to the back (42K), and seats felt a bit tighter than on the A380. The 3-4-3 configuration was on both planes but it felt way more spacious and better on the A380. It's just cramped with a fourth seat in the middle. Other than that, food as good and the cleanliness of the aircraft was excellent, as well as the flight attendants. Legroom was good, not bad. The only main issue on the B777-300ER planes would be seat width and possibly legroom.

I am usually a frequent flyer with Air India but due to an emergency had to take a flight with emirates. Despite all they negative feedback AI receives from people I'd say that their economy class is 10X more comfortable than emirates on the 777-300ER. Due to the fact that emirates have a 3-4-3 o 10 abreast seating.

We usually prefer the seats at the front of economy. The service is usually better. The seat itself is a good seat, with window view and good for making a quick exit on landing. Although when we landed in Newcastle EK35 they couldn't get the air bridge to lock, so we had to walk the full length of the plane and go down the steps, we were the last out.. Just your luck I suppose.Generally good flight, good food, and service.

The 777 in the 10 abreast configuration is terrible! Flew Dubai to Rome.We sat in the 2 seats J/K at the back, hoping for that little bit of extra space and comfort, it was TERRIBLE. Cramped, and watch out for the overhead lockers, there is some equipment stowed here, so it can be tight if you are slow to your seat. Seats in general are uncomfortable, I will now avoid Emirates if 777. A380 was ok in comparison. Don't pay extra for these seats, waste of money. Stay away from Emirates 777.

The whole row (6) is located close to the entry doors, in an remarcable cold area. Very unconfortable.

There is a plastic storage box built into the seat in front which prevents you from storing your bag underneath the seat, and means you are unable to fully stretch your legs.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2018/02/06 for Seat 46B

Found it quite spacious and less claustrophobic sitting in this seat. Nice and private with sense of space.

Submitted by Damján B on 2018/01/15 for Seat 6E

Avoid. Because of the pseudo-bulkhead, you have to squeeze your precious stuff into the overhead lockers already occupied by crew's equipment during TTL (without assistence from the crew), and passengers tend to cross from one aisle to another using your legroom, carelessly stomping on your bags.

My partner and I flew DXB to DPS on this plane, thanks to Emirates holding the flight due to our late arrival from LHR!I agree that the seating layout is tight, but I'm 5'10" and I managed to sleep comfortably on this flight. Service was good, pity they lost my jacket, perhaps it will be waiting for me on my return flight?!

Unfortunate to have flown on EK408 and EK409 between Melbourne (Aus) and Dubai. We had the 2nd row of two seats at the rear of the aircraft on both flights. Seating was cramped, aisles very narrow and couldn't complain about service as there wasn't any. A budget airline would probably have been better. For a relatively long haul flight these aircraft are shocking.

Basinets in Economy just behind a curtain (no bulkhead) exceptionally bothersome.

Even though I was seating just before the lavatory, the recline was great! The leg It was limited or anything. The legroom was also great! The ICE system when I fly was the latest one and it was awesome. It sometimes lag for a couple of minutes but everything is fine. The remote controller also has screen on it so you can watch a movie while checking out your location.

Terrible 2-3-2 configuration in Business, narrow and short seats, no direct aisle access from a window seat, keep bumping into your neighbor on the way in and out. Plus slow service... Terrible experience. Emirates 777 J class is overhyped and hugely underwhelming. If Etihad flew this route I'd take them instead any day.

I flew from CPT to DXB on this plane in April and found it quite comfortable for both sitting and sleeping. The extra mattress provided after take-off really does help in evening out any irregularities and the very slight angle of the lie-flat bed didn't affect me at all.The service from the cabin crew was excellent and the meals of a high standard with a good choice of dishes.Whilst the 2-3-2 layout is possibly not the best layout, I didn't find that sitting in the window seat presented any real issues in getting out into the aisle.Personally I tend not to bother with the in -flight entertainment (ICE) but from what I looked at on this flight it was very extensive. Unfortunately the aircraft I was on didn't have live TV as I had watched that on my flight from DXB to CPT in late March. When taken in conjunction with free chaufeur drive to and from the airport for business class customers I would certainly fly with Emirates and in this aircraft again.

I'm currently sitting in this seat. The best thing about this flight is the wi-fi. Legroom is fine. Three windows within reach. ICE screen is quite far away on the bulkhead and it's impossible not to be distracted by your neighbor's screen. However, by far the WORST thing about thing really aged aircraft is the angle-flat bed. It is desperately and unavoidably uncomfortable, with the thinnest of seat padding over the metal frame (the quilted seat cover they offer doesn't help). I think the toilet seats are more comfortable. Forget trying to take a nap. There is simply no comfortable position to lie in, especially on your side. When you book on Emirates site, their description of "What's on your flight" is "Stretch out on flat-bed seats in Business Class" - no mention of 20-year old angle-flat seats! This is bait and switch.Emirates - it's time to off-load these old planes to some third-world airline. It's a rip-off to charge these fares for such garbage quality compared to your other offerings. My Skywards status is Gold, so this is obviously not my first trip on Emirates, And I’ve flown to Cape Town a few times too, but never had this configuration. But it will be last on this piece of junk even if I have to fly via Hong Kong to Cape Town.

Standard Economy seat however has only 1 window that you have to lean forward to see out of due to the Boeing fuselage design. The panel next to the seat is missing a window.

Whilst in a good position re noise & light etc., these supposedly lie-flat seats are very uncomfortable and the sleeping area very narrow.I never want to fly on one of these again - sleep impossible.Allied to this is the intensely irritating ICE system that keeps on switching itself back on for no apparent reason.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/11/24 for Seat 15K

ICE entertainment was cool but seats were narrow for a 6 hr flight. You may get a partial window view as the window in 14K is misaligned

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/10/02 for Seat 24H

Be aware - there is a plastic part of the plane just under your right foot which limits the legroom and is tiring on a long flight.

I've travelled both economy and business on Emirates. My last business travel was a week ago, two sectors, BOS-DXB, DXB-CMB. Seat was excellent as was the service which was exemplary. Service even in economy is very good so I am surprised to hear negative comments. US carriers and a number of others could learn a lot from he Emirates experience.

I would not fly Emirates again in this 2:3:2 two class configuration. I love flying the Boeing 777 but undoubtedly, this is the worst business class international flight i have done in the past 5+ years. It is basically an economy plus seat at business pricing. My first and last trip with Emirates! Service also really sucked!

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/06/04 for Seat 41A

Due to the seat is in between of two windows, the space for the elbow is limited since there is not the curvature of the window which otherwise adds some space.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/05/14 for Seat 27D

Power on the seat and USB ports the seats were close to each other on leg room as others have commented. In this mid section at the front third of the wing I measured a steady 95 dB(A), which exceeds the occupationally allowed sound levels substantially. Hearing protection should be supplied

I had traveled with emirates 4-5years ago, that time it was great, but now with Boeing777 flight ,my opinion is completely changed, tight uncomfortable seat specially for long haul flight ,I had feeling of suffocation! and could not have any motion in my seat and my legs were snuggle under the front seat.sure I do not chose on my next trip.

Submitted by Anoop D on 2016/04/16

The seats have the comforts as described on the site.

An old plane with dated inflight entertainment system, the box for which is under the seat in front, so 50% of your legroom is instantly gone. Tight seating, my knees were touching the seat in front (when I wasn't playing footsie with the box) and the seats are narrow. I'm 185cm and broad shouldered, as was my neighbour so we spent the whole 7 hour flight being more intimate than I usually manage with my wife. Was glad when the flight ended.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/02/04 for Seat 20k

Seat 20K has limited footspace, presumably due to an in-flight entertainment box underneath the seat in front

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/01/31 for Seat 19g

Great seat- Near toilets but not too close.Get a seat in front of the wing because it is a lot quieter and not as cold. on the isle.if you get a seat behind the wing it is cold and noisy

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/11/29 for Seat 18h

Very good seat no complaints what so ever

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/08/26 for Seat 35C

Seats are too cramp. The position where the seat is at are often bumped by Flight Attendants and people walking towards the bathroom.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/07/14 for Seat 46B

Because of the off set seating in front, the dinner tray does not fold out flat

Submitted by Robbert H on 2015/04/02 for Seat 26C

Seats are very cramped due to 10 abreast layout. Aisle is tiny which raises safety concerns. Service and ICE system are fine tho, however the whole plane feels like a giant giant cattle car.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2015/01/03 for Seat 46f

This was a great seat. Although it was not a window seat, i enjoyed it. The ICE digital wide screen kept me entertained through out the flight and I could see everything outside from taxing to take-off and landing with the help of cameras outside the plane. They served us local Bangladeshi food which was delicious and finger licking good. The cabin was really quiet compared to other flights on other airlines I've been in so it was an overall good flying experience with Emirates.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2014/10/10 for Seat 45K

45 K is a bad seat the scallop from the seating becomes the squared off section joining the two scallops meet. this means that when three broad shouldered men sit in the three seats the person in the window seat has their shoulder against the squared off section. When you sit for eleven hours its most uncofortable

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2014/08/23 for Seat 42g

Very uncomfortable seating. Althought I had an aisle seat, Emirates puts 1 more seat in each row (in total 10 seats) where most other airlines put 9 seats only. This reflects in less comfort and constant disturbance through body contact throughout the whole flight.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2014/04/23 for Seat 3f

I fly this 2 cabin configuration 3 times a year from Manila-Dubai-Manila. Business class rows 3,4,5 are the best rows for less noise & light from the galleys.
